Round Tip Paint Brushes
Uses: sketching, outlining, detailed work, controlled washes, filling in small areas. creates thin to thick lines – thin tip.
Pointed Tip Paint Brushes
Narrower than the round paintbrush with a sharp pointed tip.
Uses: fine details and lines, delicate areas, spotting and retouching.
Flat Tip Paint Brushes
Square flat end, with medium to long hairs.
Uses: bold strokes, washes, filling wide spaces, edge can create fine lines, straight edges and stripes.
Bright Tip Paint Brushes
Flat with edges curved on sides of tip, with short hairs.
Uses: short controlled strokes. thick, heavy color. Best for up close work.
Filbert Tip Paint Brushes
Oval shaped end with medium to long hairs.
Uses: blending, soft rounded edges. Filbert is a combination of both round and flat brushes since it works well for detail work and can cover larger spaces.
Angular Flat Tip Paint Brushes
Flat with angled hairs.
Uses: curved strokes and filling corners. can reach small areas with tip. Also good for covering large areas.
Detail Round TipPaint Brushes
Flat with angled hairs. Round, fine pointed tip shorter hairs, shorter handle.
Uses: details and short strokes.
